Follow the old fish workers’ route past Beruvíkurhraun lava field to Sandhólar. This walk takes 1½ hours from Dritvík. The total length from Djúpalónssandur to Sandhólar is 4km

some people prefer to start the walk in Sandhólar and end at Djúpalónsandur.
