Coastal trail passing Einarslón lagoon. There are many farm ruins in the area around Einarslón. The colourful cliffs are eye-catching with exposed strata. A lighthouse (1946) stands at Malarrif, which was a working farm until 1997. An exhibition about Malarrif is in the old salt house by the beach, and the visitor centre of Snæfellsjökull National Park is in an old outhouse.
The trail crosses grassland, some rather coarse.
