Öndverðarnes is the westernmost tip of Snæfellsness. In the past, it was a large fishing hub, with many working men’s cottages and a chapel, but the farm has been deserted since 1945.

In Öndverðarnes you can see relics from the past, and it has a lighthouse.

The well Fálki is located there, which used to be the only source of water in Öndverðarnes and is ancient and protected. It is said that the well contains water from three different sources, one with fresh water, another with mineral water and the third with a hint of salt.

South from Öndverðarnes are sea cliffs known as Svörtuloft from the sea. Many marine accidents have occurred under them. Above Svörtuloft is Skálasnagi, which also has a lighthouse.
