A National Park’s Visitors’ Centre is located in Malarrif. There is also a great rest area for the whole family, with playground equipment and close proximity to the beach.

One of the characteristics of Malarrif is Malarrif's lighthouse. Built in 1946.
A lighthouse (1946) stands at Malarrif, which was a working farm until 1977.

IThe Visitors Centre has an exhibition where theme is the fisherman and nature. Attempts are made to engage all senses and guests are encouraged to taste, smell, and get involved. The exhibition is also accessible for the visually impaired.

There is an old salt storage house on the beach where the students in Lýsuhólsskóli in Snæfellsbær set up an exhibition in 2016, which they maintain every year. The exhibition showcases various works by the students, including drawings, sculptures and stones that have been transformed into strange creatures. Visitors are encouraged to participate in the exhibition and add to it by drawing pictures or finding beach rocks and placing them in the space.

Rangers welcome visitors and provide them with education and information.
