On the way to Eysteinsdalur and in the valley itself, a beautiful mountain view opens up and the landscape is different from that in the lowlands.
There are several diverse walking trails in the area. For example, the hiking trail to Rauðhóll and Sjónarhóll, which has a unique view. To the waterfalls Klukkufoss and Snekkjufoss
For those who like to climb mountains, there is plenty to choose from. You can climb Hreggnasi (469 m), which is quite easy, but it is more difficult to conquer Bárðarkista (668 m), and Geldingafell vestra (830 m), which is the highest sub-mountain of the Glacier.
