Snæfellsjökull Glacier

A walk onto the glacier takes 3–4 hours from Jökulháls. Another interesting but longer route starts from Harðabali, to the north of the Glacier. Anyone intending to ascend Snæfellsjökull should check conditions and routes before leaving and take great care on the mountain. Deep crevasses open during the summer months, making ascents impossible.
