There is a hiking trail from Hólavogur which encircles one of the craters near Hólahólar and runs past the ponds and the ruins of the old Hólahólar farmstead. Along the coast, the trail runs along Hrafnabjörg and one can take a detour to Dimmagjóta.
A bench is located in one of the craters and has a beautiful view of Snæfellsjökull glacier.
